Competition Rules

The Wild Pines Mini Golf Championship is an individual stroke play competition. Players will compete over up to 3/4 rounds of 18 holes, with the top scoring players progressing after round one and again after round two. The player with the lowest overall score at the end of the final round will be crowned Wild Pines Mini Golf Champion.

Format

• The competition is played as individual stroke play.

• Every shot counts as one stroke.

• There will be a cut after round one, and a further cut after round two and three

• Only the top players will progress to each next stage.

• Final cut numbers will be confirmed by Wild Pines Park on the day if needed.

Equipment

• Players must use Wild Pines Park golf balls.

• Players may bring and use their own club if they wish.

• No other equipment may be used unless approved by the organiser.

Playing Rules

• Players must start each hole from the designated starting area.

• The ball must be played as it lies unless these rules say otherwise.

• If a ball leaves the hole area at any point, it must be reset to the beginning of the hole.

• If a ball comes to rest against the outer edge of a hole, the player may move it up to one club end away from the edge, no nearer the hole.

• This edge relief applies only to the outer edge of the hole and does not apply to obstacles.

• The Real Golf Hole is excluded from this relief rule.

• The maximum score on any hole is 8 shots. Once a player reaches 8, they must pick up and move on to the next hole.

Scoring

• The winner will be the player with the lowest score in the final standings.

• Scores must be recorded clearly and honestly.

• Any scoring dispute must be raised with the event organiser as soon as possible.

Ties

• If there is a tie for a position that matters for progression or prizes, it will be decided by sudden death.

• Sudden death will take place on The Real Golf Hole until a winner is decided.

Conduct

• Players must behave respectfully towards other competitors, spectators and staff at all times.

• Deliberately distracting, obstructing or interfering with another player is not allowed.

• Unsporting behaviour may result in a warning, penalty or disqualification.

• The event organiser’s decision is final on all matters relating to rules, scoring, conduct and results.

Age and Supervision

• The competition is suitable for ages 6+.

• All players under 16 must have an adult present on site.

• All players under 12 must have a parent with them while they play, unless the organiser agrees otherwise.

Prizes

• The top 4 players will win cash prizes (£100, £50, £30, £20).

• Players finishing 5th to 8th will win Wild Pines vouchers.

• The final prize split will be confirmed on the day.

• The prize pool will be at least £200, and may be increased.

Entry

• Entry is free.

• Pre-booking is highly recommended as spaces are limited.

• Wild Pines Park reserves the right to refuse late entry, close bookings when full, or make reasonable changes to timings or format if required.

General

By entering the competition, all players agree to follow these rules and any reasonable instructions given by Wild Pines Park staff and the event organiser on the day.
