Bushcraft Experiences

Enjoy the wonderful woodland at Wild Pines Park in a whole new way. Assemble and light your own fire, cook food on it, forage for it, learn campcraft and the basics of survival in the great outdoors and so much more. Sessions are lead by Jim Milner of Wilderness Ways who has 12 years of experience leading and teaching groups.

Birthday Parties (2 hours)

A bushcraft birthday party is a fantastic way to explore, understand, and have fun in nature. On your child’s bushcraft birthday party they will learn some of fundamental skills used in bushcraft such as fire lighting and shelter building. Most of all, the children will find new ways of enjoying and learning in the great outdoors, increase their confidence and problem solving skills, and develop strong friendships in the absence of modern distractions.

HALF DAYS (3 HOURS)

Suitable for various groups of any size. Sessions are run and tailored to meet any specific goals you may have. Various areas of bushcraft are covered in these sessions and in more depth than the one hour option. Utilising years of experience in a variety of locations, Jim Milner provides an educational and fun approach to learning new skills. You can learn different ways to light a fire in difficult conditions, make shelters from materials that surround us so that you can stay warm and dry in the great outdoors. Perhaps a whittling session using knife work in a safe environment, study the woodland in a greater depth than most imagine discovering what the woods at Wild Pines has to offer from medicines to food. Each session is planned with your group in mind so no two sessions are the same. Your session can include food cooked over the fire that you make with the whole thing lasting about 3 hours. An experience like no other.
