Why choose Wild Pines Park for home education groups?
Flexible outdoor learning, adventure, confidence and social connection.
“I brought my friend’s daughter to Wild Pines today and we had an incredible experience! Every member of staff exceeded our expectations. In particular, I need to mention Morgan, who is naturally gifted at interacting with neurodivergent young people. I don’t think we would have made it around the course without his help and encouragement. We will definitely be coming back!”

Why Wild Pines Park makes an amazing school trip
A home education group day at Wild Pines Park gives children the chance to learn, explore and challenge themselves in the outdoors.
From high ropes and zip lines to archery, mini golf and woodland activities, every part of the day encourages confidence, teamwork, resilience and social connection.
Some children arrive ready for adventure. Others need a little more encouragement. By the end of the visit, many leave feeling proud of what they have achieved — and that is what makes the experience so valuable.
Flexible packages for different groups and budgets
Home education groups come in all shapes and sizes, so we offer a range of activity options to suit different ages, confidence levels and budgets.
Whether you are planning a small weekday meet-up, a larger group visit, a lower-cost outdoor learning session or a full activity day, we can help recommend the best option for your group.
Booking your home education group visit
Contact our team with your preferred date, approximate numbers, age range and the type of day you are looking for, and we will help you choose the most suitable package.
We can help plan timings, activity choices and group organisation so your visit runs smoothly from arrival to departure.
Risk assessments and school paperwork
Before your visit, we can provide useful planning information, including risk assessments, insurance documentation, activity guidance and a clear outline of how the day will run.
This helps group organisers and parents understand what to expect before arriving.
Supervision and group organisation
Our instructors lead the activity sessions and supervise the technical safety of the ropes course. They provide safety briefings, support participants during the activities and help organise the flow of the day.
Parents, carers and group organisers remain responsible for children’s general supervision, behaviour and pastoral care throughout the visit.
Before your visit, we will advise on practical group sizes, activity rotations and the best way to organise your group across the day.
For ropes activities, participants are attached to our continuous safety system and monitored by our instructor team throughout their session.
WHAT TO WEAR
Most Wild Pines Park activities take place outdoors, so children should wear comfortable clothing they do not mind getting a little muddy, and should dress for the weather.
For ropes activities, participants must wear secure, closed-toe footwear with good grip. Trainers or other supportive shoes are ideal. Open-toed shoes, sandals, flip-flops and slip-on footwear are not suitable for the courses.
Long hair should be tied back, waists should be covered, and body piercings should be removed or taped over where needed, as participants will be wearing harnesses.
Gloves can be useful, especially in colder weather. Children are welcome to bring their own, and spare pairs may be available to borrow on the day.
There are changing facilities on site if anyone needs to change before or after activities.
