Safety Information

Our courses are annually inspected by Capstone Inspections and re-certified for safe use. Any questions relating to the inspection process can be answered via his website http://www.capstone-inspections.com/ or 077366 41420. A detailed document is available which demonstrates the safe operation of the site.

When we opened, on the 6th April, 2017 we were inspected by Paul Capper of Capstone Inspections.  He carried out a Type A Inaugural Inspection of every aspect of the course.  Capstone Inspections is an independent company ensuring that all new ropes courses are built to the latest European Ropes Course Association (ERCA) standards.

In July 2022 we were inspected and audited by the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom. This is a thorough process detailing safety procedures, staff competency and training undertaken during a site visit with clients within education. We were awarded the LOtC accreditation along with the AdventureMark Certification as proven deliverers of outstanding experiences for young people.

On request we can send you the detailed breakdown of our inspection reports that details every aspect of our operation.

We use the ZAZA2 safety system made by Coudou Pro (www.coudoupro.com).  This is a single line system which means that at no point can you become detached from the safety line.  As such it is categorised as a Type E safety system by ERCA, the safest system possible.

Our standards meet and exceed the ropes course standard EN 15567 Parts 1 and 2.  Daily checks are made before any member of the public is allowed onto the course, along with detailed periodic checks and an independent annual inspection.

We are fully insured for £10,000,000 public liability.

The course builder, operator and senior instructor is Samuel Woodings who is a fully qualified ERCA High and Low Ropes Instructor, PPE Inspector, ERCA Rescuer, a St Johns First Aider and is qualified in Operational Inspections & Maintenance.

All of our staff are fully trained, have relevant first aid training along with any other appropriate qualifications.
